Moving ahead with steps to produce the first magazine
See https://codema.in/d/NFUtAlox/a-dedicated-print-magazine-
To move ahead, I suggest we can start collecting articles written in markdown or latex through a codeberg or Gitlab repository.
The Git repo may be run through a Docops setup to publish the articles after review and can be finalised after peer review to a website.
We may keep a last date of collecting articles and once the articles are published on the website. We may have a dedicated website eg named
libre-ezine.fsci. in
The contents published in the website may be selectively taken as
selected for a print Magazine. We can keep a last date for print publishing after coming to a consensus on the number of copies to be printed.
So next steps could be
Create a repo on codeberg or other suitable site
Setup Devops(Docops) for publising articles committed to repo
Call for articles
Peer review
Website publish
Finalize the print edition
Marketing for getting people to buy the Magazine
Consensus related on howmuch copies, print method to be followed
Get fund for printing
Get people
Print the Magazines
Sell the Magazine
The fund from the magazines may be distributed to contributers based on their efforts after coming to a consensus

it was based on one of the replies that having an online edition in addition to the print edition is better. An online edition will always be good i feel. So we can go ahead with forming the editorial team and formulation of guidelines using a collaborative etherpad.

@Tanzeem Mohammad Basheer makes sense. We should decide how we want the online articles to be released (all at the same time as print, serially before print, etc.). And also think of a better name! But we can decide all that in the pad once we get volunteers

@Badri Sunderarajan Can you start a poll on what you exactly told or prepare a pad and share it.

Why "ezine" if it's going to be in print? Also, we should form the editorial team and come up with some guidelines before calling for articles etc.
