As discussed today at Thrissur (Minutes ), we need to study impact of NRC in depth and come up with a response. If you'd like to join this effort, please reply here. We need to collect articles on this topic and talk to people who have been working on this in Assam NRC. this is an interesting thread from North East (Desmond Coutinho is husband of Irom Sharmila).

I also assumed names. This is what he has to say about it :

A refugee usually has no documents to prove anything. Even that he/she came from the said 3 countries. I think this entire act is messed up and impossible to implement. Let alone the cost and effort that will take a toll on our economy.
As kannan gopinathan says, the proof of burden should be on the govt and not us citizens to find illegal immigrants. they are just transferring it on to us just like they did with demonetisation. He also states the most affected group in this fiasco would be women.

I guess they will go by names and declaration, probably documents too. At this point, BJP can get away with what it wants by nook or crook. So I don't really think any institution will question the documents if it has political support of BJP.

How do you boycott cab?

Pirate Praveen Fri 13 Dec 2019 1:28PM

@Kannan V M and me have pledged to boycott NRC

I think we should release a statement rejecting CAB+NRC as unconstitutional and asking people to boycott.
