Working on an article about Free basics and zero rating violating net neutrality
Hello everyone ..
As some of us may know ,the TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) issued another consultation paper asking once again, if we want Net Neutrality. This time, it's about differential pricing - Airtel Zero and Internet.org type services...
Which has led Facebook to try desperately to make a dying attempt to save its program, Freebasics: This time by campaigning on their website asking Indian users to help save its 'Free Basics' platform by signing an email to TRAI!
It has become more important than ever to try and educate the general public now about how zero rating and Free basics violate net neutrality in which ever way possible.
Therefore , myself and Fayad are currently working on an article explaining why and how Free basics and zero rating violate net neutrality ..Plan is to hopefully make a nicely written sort of article which we could then ask organizations like Medianama.com and kafila to circulate .. if not , we could atleast ask them to share it on twitter and facebook.. its a start.. something similar to this :http://tinyurl.com/p5sf3yo
All suggestions are welcome.. Thank you!

I suggest we make our own answers to TRAI consultation questions and make it easy for people to email TRAI like the option in savetheinternet.in

@praveenarimbrathod : we could do that .. but right now my hands are full.. writing an article isnt as easy as i thought .. the main problem is trying to explain the problem in as few words as possible .. thats what is taking time..

We have published the article online. I found medium to be a good platform to write so we started with it. We can use all possible ways to ensure it reaches maximum. Idea is to narrate the whole story so a person outside mainstream discussions can understand what is happening. We have curated popular links and added to it.
