I am not an expert, so I don't know what exact actions should be taken. Perhaps there are many environment activists and organizations who will reach out to us once we are in the government.

Items in manifesto should be specific and actionable, for setting general directions, we can use our basic principles.

i remember this being discussed before. but then i thought the consensus back then was to give importance to creating a direction now and expand on the points later (otherwise i wouldn't have voted). i checked some previous threads, but couldn't find any reference. anyway, i agree that the points in manifesto should be more specific than being blanket statements.

If you want to add something to basic principles, you can modify it or you can find some specific actions or you can close.

Article 1, Section 9 of the constitution already has protecting the environment as a basic principle. And, we need to come up with more specific actions to protect environment to add to manifesto as @Pirate Praveen pointed out.

I don't think manifesto is a place to put ideas which we don't know what action to take. It can be in our basic principles and when we workout specific actionable items out of principles we can add them to manifesto.
