Funding opportunities in 2026

We have received a grant of INR 1,00,000 from FOSS United, we can use this thread to talk about the same and any other funding opportunities.

As of right now, to proceed, I'd like the Navodaya bank account details to share with them. Since they also pitched to have a conversation over call, would anyone like to share ideas?

Quoting from the response,

It'll also be good to discuss potential long term engagements and other initiatives we can work together on. Would you be open for a call?

I think we can consider collaborating on FSCIConf too, as long as we have the say on topics. @sahilister what do you think ?

@Pirate Praveen Which city are we looking for, or is it across India?

Also @kishy for long term engagements, kindly add me as well. I will like to assist as well.

Sahil is ok with collaborating with them for FSCI Conf (as discussed in xmpp dm).

Another collaboration could be to lobby government to expand NUUP (*99# ussd interface to upi https://wiki.fsci.in/NUUP) to all cities and all providers (Only Airtel works well, Vi works partly - only allow sending by phone number, BSNL and Jio don't work).

This would be our best bet to have UPI with 100% Free Software (LibreFin is still work in progress and without official support, risk of breakage is high like NewPipe).

We should try our best to keep UPI available to Free Software users.
