Publishing Prav on Aptoid

Since Apple rejected Prav from App Store we can only distribute in alternate stores. One option we are considering is https://en.aptoide.com/ios/ and it needs 69 USD per year to publish. We are also exploring SideStore and AltStore, but these need more work to publish and use.

I thought we could decide here without waiting for a full board meeting.

We can go ahead with publishing on aptoid.

What is the decision you need to make?

Publish Prav on Aptoid for 69 USD per year.

Why is this important?

Apple rejected our submission to App Store, so we can only distribute via alternate stores.

What are you asking people to do?

Approve this yearly expense.

Even though it can work only in EU and Japan, symbolically it is important and also helps our case with CCI.

Is there any advantage and visibility we get as in Appstore? I don't know how aptoid works.

@Athul we can tell people that it is available in aptoid, also if people already have aptoid, they can find prav. Think of it like fdroid for iOS, though not just Free Software and only available in EU/Japan. People can publish apps in Aptoid and keep more money as Apple charges a lot for payments through app store.

@Pirate Praveen As our most of the users are in India, will it be helpful? Also they have a quicksy as alternative in App Store, right?

@Athul it is for getting more users, we already have many users from outside India. There is nothing stopping people outside India from using Prav. When we start charging, we could get paying users from outside India too. Every app has a source country, most of it just happened to be from US, so it is just another foreign app for most users.
