Processing new user requests
As you are aware, due to huge spam sign ups, we have closed open registrations and instead we ask people to request an account. So we need to respond to such requests. Currently @deadman and recently @perry volunteered for this. It would be nice to have more volunteers so we can respond faster to requests.
This involves sending an email to the person who made the request with an invite link. They can create account using the invite link. We already have an email template ready to use.

Do we need to check if the request is made by a Human or bot as well? Or just send the link to anyone who makes such request.

We need to document the process to make it easier for new volunteers to help out. Tracking this here https://gitlab.com/piratemovin/diasp.in/-/issues/82 We have a private group for those who volunteered to coordinate and avoid duplication.

@Buster Keaton usually we can make out from the form values, some we know as spam by first look. There is a free flow text field, which also helps us evaluate if it is a genuine request.
