Allow medical research on controlled substances
Draconian drug laws prevent people from being able to conduct medical research and allow the creation of monopolies and commercial advantage by collusion between politicians and lobbyists. We should encourage the exemption of these substances from being controlled for medical research.

The article describes the problem in relation to cannabis, however the same position exists for other plants regulated under The Narcotic Drugs and Substances Act of 1985

Article says medical use is allowed and the issue is with getting license for cultivation. Possibly that's what needs to be rectified?
