Proposal for 'switch to free software' meetings

Many people would like to switch to free software. They might not have awareness on the options or what software they can use. So I was thinking of publicly announcing such meetups and help them switch to free software. Similar to GNU/Linux installation fests. What do you think?

This is a good idea. However, I am not sure if "Many people" really want to do that. Nevertheless, I support publicly announcing this. Even if we could help some people, that would be great.
