We cannot grow this infinitely giving good experience to users at the same time. We should create more pods so load can be better shared.

There is a reason Diaspora was made decentralized. :)

Decentralization is the way to go. I am doubtful on what causes the heavy memory usage.

Does anyone know how heroku/joindiaspora manages, we are full message?

@anisha , there are many pods who can take new users listed at http://podupti.me

I don't think number of users is an issue, but active users may contribute to system load and memory usage. But again, as per podupti.me, there are around 15 pods with more active users than poddery. Lets contact podmins of those and get an idea of their system spec and load information to troubleshoot the issues with poddery.

It turns out to be a bug in podupti.me which always suggested poddery.com when users choose a random pod. This issue is fixed and we are safe for the time being. We can consider closing registrations when we can't handle the load with the current specs.

~400 new users are added after we upgraded, we can't grow at this rate. I think we should stop new registrations and start raising funds for a new pod managed by a new team. We can split this team and give some experienced admins to new team. That is only sustainable growth I think.
