Orkut Shutdown Day

Orkut is shutting down on September 30.

This will be a great example of what happens when we depend on companies who care only about profits for our essential communications. Orkut is not the first and it won't be the last. We have to tell people federation and free software is the answer. We can contrast this with how we saved poddery.
