Full members will commit to spending one hour per month working on Indian Pirates campaigns

We have a lack of engagement in campaigns and proposals put forward, despite having hundreds of participants. If members agree to giving an hour of their time each month we can do much more work getting campaigns up and running, reach more people and grow the organisation.

Full members will commit to spending one hour per month working on Indian Pirates campaigns by attending an monthly meeting

proposal by Pirate Vik Closed Mon 7 Dec 2020 4:00PM

We have a lack of engagement in campaigns and proposals put forward, despite having hundreds of participants. If members agree to giving an hour of their time each month we can do much more work getting campaigns up and running, reach more people and grow the organisation.

After discussion, the proposal of a monthly meeting obtained some consensus and so this proposal is being made.

We will issue calendar invites for the whole years meeting dates in advance.

i very much support the idea of increasing engagement & dedicating time for the same, both within ourselves and with the general public.

we need to do 2 things in parallel, 1. reach out to more people through campaigns and statements 2. increase understanding on issues among those who join us. Regular meeting will help us to plan and execute these goals.

Consequences of engaging in open ended discussions

proposal by Pirate Praveen Closed Wed 28 Apr 2021 7:00PM

We have seen some people just engaging in provocative open ended discussions which only frustrate people and force responses countering arguments. So anyone engaging in debates without a specific outcome in mind will be warned by an admin three times. If they continue engaging in such activities after three warnings, an admin can propose muting the member, a second admin should agree to the proposed action. Muting can be for a duration of one week for the first time and if they repeat the same behavior, muting can be repeated for a month and a year respectively.

basically this means to restrict discussions to be based on codema threads!

I think the room is for discussions and debates that should result in a proposal, if people want a "free for all" room they can create one
