Recently BSNL announced support for this
apparently other providers already support it. I wonder if it needs support from modem itself similar to VoLTE or we might be able to emulate it in software.
Mobile network settings don't expose this option neither on FLX1 nor on Librem 5.
Why is this important?
This is useful in places with poor mobile network strength (for example my home - I see only a single bar on Vi and voice is often cut during calls). I get only 4G even though FLX1 advertises 5G support (android phones gets 5G in the same area).
How would you like people to respond?
We should figure our which all components should enable support for it and try to implement it.

That's true for me as well. In fact, a lot of times I just 2.75 G on FLX1 and 5G on my Lineage OS device.
