Why India Pirates?
This issue speaks directly to one of the basic principles of our constitution, namely "reform of copyright and patent law"

It seems that there is a strong line of defence here and the action was pretty misplaced.

It looks like the matter will be quickly washed away however there is a point worth campaigning and I agree with @praveenarimbrathod that the issue is one that helps Indian Pirates move outside of tech circles.
We could additionally protest by growing the same potatoes and asking Pepsi to sue any of us - that would keep the debate running for a while.

For campaigns we're going to need more volunteers here, i'll post to the riot room again to see if we can get more views from people

Very good article about laws and treaties in this area https://thewire.in/agriculture/pepsico-controversy-globally-india-has-always-refused-to-give-in-on-ipr-on-plant-varieties

I think that is still a bad outcome (though better than getting sued).
