and about death penalty, the Indian Pirates Constitution, Article 2, Section 6 states that:

"The violence must be prosecuted through prevailing laws, and the issue must be evaluated through debate on its own merit."

we should note that the prevailing laws include death penalty! so if we are really against death penalty then shouldn't we express it clearly in the Constitution?

@ambadyanands if we did that , we'd then have to express our views about every other crime in our constitution for example our views on decriminalization on drugs , beef ban , homosexuality etc etc.. the list would be never ending.

we should be stating our views on specific issues like death penalty , drug use , etc else where and not in the constitution.

@ambadyanands Dont know if FAQ would be the appropriate section, but yeah ..something similar.. where it states our opinions about the various topics we discuss.. but before all of that we need to 'establish' what we , as a group , stand for when it comes to the various topics we discuss..

now that's a good message as every time a crime against women/girls happens it's seen as an opportunity for disempowering and limiting them instead of encouraging their personal autonomy. personally i agree that we should no longer let girls stay meek anymore.

but thinking from the side a caring father/brother/husband, we can also see that, say for example, one may not be ready to let his daughter/sister/wife to travel alone at night. who is the culprit here? and what to do about it?
