BJP being a threat

RD Ravi Dwivedi Public Seen by 65

I made a list on why BJP is a problem and a threat to democracy and pluralism. Discussed with Praveen that we should post a blog on this. Here are some points to try to convince people who probably did not follow the news or did not see all this as a whole chunk by the BJP.

  • Ruthless misuse of investigative agencies

Modi government has perfected the misuse of central investigative agencies for their political ends. According to the data shared by the Union government in the parliament in July 2022, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered 5,422 cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, but only 23 persons have been convicted – less than 0.5% out of which 5,310 cases were under Modi. (see (see The government has put opposition politicians under house arrest and jailed them in order to prevent them from canvassing or participating in protest movements such as in the cases of TDP politician Nara Lokesh and former finance minister P. Chidambaram. Once the opposition politician defects to the BJP, the cases against them are dropped--Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mukul Roy, Ajit Pawar, Harshvardhan Patil are examples.

Remaining: Crony capitalism, Bhima Koregaon case, Pegasus spyware, Fake news and trolling, uneven application of law(Rapist like Ram Rahim and Bilkis Bano rapists get released, actually Ram Rahim was even given Z+ security cover by the BJP when he was out for 21 days, while activists doing good work are in jail), unemployment, inflation, environment degradation(India is at the least position in environment protection)

Most of your references seems like known pro-congress media like thewire and some western media known for their anti bjp stands. This post looks like a pro - jihadi , pro-evangelical propaganda aimed for 2024 general elections

@Ravi Dwivedi thanks. @Sumodh Krishna your comment makes it evident your pro philosophy as well.

I am against congress due to corruption and appeasement politics ingrained in them. If not, why should anyone oppose uniform civil code. Everyone should be treated the same way regardless of their religion. Since BJP is the only party demanding UCC, I am pro-BJP. As a pirate, I believe UCC matters more than your petty fake reasons listed above. Also, you should not ignore the projection of power shown by India in the world stage recently. I do have concerns about some of the policies like Internet censorship and all, but in my view, they are the lesser evil. Once corruption and UCC like issues are rooted out, we can look at the minor issues
