Dear Praveen,
I am Bigul Malayi, a founding member and lead organizer of the WordPress
Kerala community. We had a brief discussion about WordCamp Asia 2026
earlier this evening over the phone.
The WordPress community is a global
group of people who use, build, contribute to, and support WordPress
. It functions through city-based meetup
chapters such as WordPress Mumbai,
Pune
, and many
others. There are hundreds of active WordPress communities around the
world. Members include developers, designers, writers, business owners,
and volunteers who work together to improve WordPress and help others
learn how to use it. The community regularly organizes events such as
WordCamps and local meetups worldwide.
WordCamp Asia is one of the flagship
WordCamps, along with WordCamp Europe
and WordCamp US
. It is a large conference for people who
use and build websites with WordPress. It brings together developers,
designers, bloggers, business owners, and WordPress users from around
the world. The event includes talks, workshops, networking, and
opportunities to learn new skills and share ideas. It is organized by
volunteers from the WordPress community.
This year, the event will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre
in Mumbai from April 9 to 11 .
We are expecting around 3000 attendees, and more than 2000 tickets have
already been sold.
We are planning to offer 500 discounted tickets to various open-source
communities like yours to build long-term relationships. The ticket
price is ₹2,500. We also plan to offer 2–3 complimentary tickets to the
admins of each partner community, and we are also happy to offer a 25%
discount on tickets for your community members. Additionally, partner
communities will be listed on the event website as community partners.
Please review the above details and share your feedback.
