@praveenarimbrathod okay .. send me the link of the crowd funding on the site you had mentioned.
Pirate Praveen Wed 6 Apr 2016 3:57PM
We can priorities the expenses. Printing pamphlets come to my mind. Volunteer expenses (travel and stay). We can list them as we go.

@praveenarimbrathod okay.. do you have a set moto for your campaign? .. like when you advertise using pamphlets what would you print .. like a tag line or something?
Pirate Praveen Wed 6 Apr 2016 4:03PM
@arjun can you create a draft campaign on indiegogo.com and invite me? We can draft it there directly. Major points.
- Indian Pirates, major points, transparency, peer 2 peer, civil rights etc
- What is our goal of contesting elections
- Why do we need money.

@praveenarimbrathod I'm not next to a laptop right now.. Will take sometime.. Create one and invite me and I'll get to it once I'm next to my laptop

We have to find one. My suggestion. It should highlight the things unique to us, our flat and inclusive structure and transparency.
Indian Pirates - Participatory Democracy - Change it yourself
ഇന്ത്യന് പൈറേറ്റ്സ് - പങ്കാളിത്ത ജനാധിപത്യം - നിങ്ങള് തന്നെ മാറ്റുവിന്
@arjun @sruthi @vik @vishnum @abhijtihb @michaeljohnsinclai suggest tags we can use.
Pirate Praveen Thu 7 Apr 2016 1:21AM
We should ask these questions.
- Are you happy with the way things are in our society?
- What changes you want to see?
- Do you trust any parties to do it for you?
- You can bring the changes yourself if you come together.
- Indian Pirates is a platform of the people.
- Everyone is a leader here
- We are transparent in all decision making
- We stand for human rights
- We stand for social justice
michael john sinclair. Thu 7 Apr 2016 8:48AM
Human rights,Privacy, Transparency are the 3 mains for Pirates.

By participatory democracy you meant direct democracy right? Where people have a say in the decision making?
michael john sinclair. Thu 7 Apr 2016 10:02AM
Everyone has a vote, a choice and a chance to participate.

We would need a nice promotional video ..
Do you guys think we need a youtube channel? or a twitter account? .. i feel a twitter account is a must .. not sure about youtube channel though
Raju Devidas Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:25PM
A Youtube channel will give us a lot of popularity. That is a must have
[deactivated account] Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:22PM
Do we have any creative people in our group?.. or any common friends who would like to help?
Like a poster or two for our group would be nice.
Also , a nice video ..nothing elaborate .. even 1-2 min videos explaining who we are and what we stand for? ..
get what i mean?
[deactivated account] Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:27PM
@rajudvindane hmm .. we could keep uploading videos as we campaign .. door to door or whatever it is we do
[deactivated account] Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:27PM
@rajudvindane will you be in Trivandrum? and for how long?
Raju Devidas Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:28PM
@arjun I won't be in Trivandrum. I would be in Pune for my University Exams, whose schedule is conflicting with the election dates.
[deactivated account] Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:33PM
@rajudvindane okay.. all the best man!
[deactivated account] Fri 8 Apr 2016 12:35PM
@rajudvindane @praveenarimbrathod so we need 2 things for sure:
1) Update our home page pirates.org.in
2) A youtube channel so we can post videos as we are campaigning.
3) A twitter handle so we can keep updating the public as to what we are upto.
But first , as you said .. lets finish the crowd funding
michael john sinclair. Fri 8 Apr 2016 1:13PM
Use Slack to coordinate your social media Pirate Times do.

@michaeljohnsinclai if everyone agrees i'd gladly shift .. i personally am not very fond of loomio - looks outdated and i have to depend on emails for notifications! .. but i think we discuss everything here on loomio so that its out for the public to see ..right?
michael john sinclair. Fri 8 Apr 2016 2:02PM
Loomio is still good for fast discissions
Pirate Praveen Fri 8 Apr 2016 2:57PM
@michaeljohnsinclai we use xmpp for real time chat, should be comparable with slack. piratesin@conference.diasp.in if you are on android, you can use conversations.
Pirate Praveen Fri 8 Apr 2016 3:00PM
@arjun the thing about loomio is sub groups. Those who did not like the idea of contesting elections are not bothered. Plus, its public and using threads, we can organize discussions. It allows you to subscribe as you want, group, sub group or thread.
