Geary email client no longer work in portrait mode

Geary email client worked on bookworm, but no longer works on trixie. There is only an empty window after adding an account. Since this is the only adaptive/responsive mail client available, this should be fixed.

When there was a new mail notification, clicking on the notification showed the mails.

This seemed to work only when clicking on a new mail notification. Opening the app directly shows a blank window.

I think https://gitlab.gnome.org/felinira/envelope is expected to replace Geary eventually

@baarkerlounger thanks for sharing this, but I think it is going to take a long time before it is in a usable stage, definitely not for trixie I think. We need a working email client and geary seems the closest we can have.

I found a work around - open geary in landscape mode first and mails are shown. Once mails are shown, switching back to portrait mode is fine.

So we know it is an issue specifically to do with portrait mode

@Badri Sunderarajan after recent updates, it seems the landscape work around is no longer working. So I'm forced to use Evolution which is not adapted to mobile.

This seems the closest issue I could find https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/-/issues/1471

So far geary seems to be working on FLX1.

Forgot to report earlier, but Geary has been working fine on my Poco F1 too. There's some other issue where a few specific emails don't open up in portrait and have to be opened in landscape, but I didn't face a situation where nothing at all was opening.

(The emails that didn't open were mostly promotional/newsletter so I didn't try digging too deep; it might be something to do with a specific combination of HTML that triggered some bug. Most emails worked, even when they had a lot of formatting.)
